This Adorable Dalmatian Named Wiley Has A Heart-Shaped Nose

You’ve heard about people wearing their hearts on their sleeves, but have you heard of someone wearing their heart on their nose?

Almost all of us love dogs. And they are all unique in their own ways. You will rarely find a dog that is exactly identical to another. They will all have different fur markings or patches, and eye colours too. So every dog is special but some are really lucky to be recognised for a specific kind of fur marking or spot. One such lucky little doggo is Wiley, the Dalmatian with a heart-shaped nose. I mean, dogs are already cute. Could he have gotten any cuter with that heart-shaped nose?

The adorable pupper has gained a lot of recognition on the Internet, mostly because of the nose, which is obvious. He has over 208k followers on his Instagram, and his followers just want more and more of his pictures as they just seem to be obsessed with the adorable doggo, and we can understand why!

His human mom, Lexi Smith, who is 28-years-old talked about Wiley’s personality as well, as his looks aren’t just everything. So she described him as “54 pounds of goofy, clumsy, sassy, hungry, cuddly, curious, wild, crazy, silly, happy love,” and as adorable as he looks in his photos, she told Bored Panda, “No amount of pictures on could ever fully capture all that he is and all that he means to me, he’s my best friend.”

So, this is Wiley, the Dalmatian with a heart-shaped nose.

He has a perfectly formed heart, right in the middle of his face.

Talk about miracles, huh?

Wiley’s mom, Lexi, is from Colorado, Oklahoma, and she found him on Saint Patrick’s day three years ago.

Even though he had a very prominent marking on his face, Lexi says that is not why she chose him.

“He came from a litter of 11, and 8 of them were boys, so I had a tough choice in choosing him. The heart was there, but not fully formed to the point where I believed it would stay since dalmatian spots change so much as they grow. I chose him because the breeder told me that all he did was sleep, snuggle, and eat, so we already had a lot in common.”

So they were unsure if his marking would even stay the same when he grew up as Dalmatian spots change a lot.

She chose him because he was a lazy and hungry little pupper, and she could relate to him a lot.

However, now that he has grown up, he isn’t that sleepy and lazy anymore.

“Wiley has more personality bundled up into his little body than any adorable dog I have ever met.”

Wiley’s parents live in an area where he can roam freely and use up all of his energy.

Hiking is one of his favourite activities, and he actively takes part in it.

“We are so lucky to live in Colorado and have the biggest most beautiful places to play in and explore. He loves hiking or going to one of the many massive dog parks here.”

“He also enjoys car rides and sits where he can look out the front window like a true copilot. But when he gets sleepy, he really, really LOOOOVES to snuggle.”

Just like a lot of other Dalmatians, he is really stubborn, which is pretty common in this breed.

“Wiley’s truest dalmatian traits are constantly making me laugh. Usually, it’s a giggle paired with shaking my head, laughing off total frustration from his stubbornness, but that’s part of owning the breed. If you can’t laugh it off and be creative in finding a solution and training the naughty traits out of them, life with a dalmatian would be such a challenge.”

The stubbornness doesn’t seem to bother Wiley’s mom too much, as he is much more than that.

“I have been really lucky with Wiley, though. He has the best heart, and I’m not talking about the one on his nose. He loves everyone he meets and is always so excited to make new friends. He has been relatively easy to train and has made the best little adventure partner I could ask for. He requires so much attention, and he’s basically attached to my hip, but that’s what I love about him.”

Wiley is so famous now, people can recognise him on the streets!

“Some people recognize him as “that dog from the internet,” a lot of people notice the heart-shaped dog nose, but mostly it’s just people shocking to see a dalmatian. “I haven’t seen a dalmatian in so long,” or “I’ve never seen a dalmatian in person,” are the most repeated comments I hear when I am out and about with Wiley.”

Lexi had a passion for photography, and that is when she decided to share Wiley’s pictures with the world.

“Photography has always been something that I have toyed and experimented with, and suddenly I had an adorable puppy who made the perfect model. I have a personal account, but creating a separate one dedicated specifically to Wiley seemed like a great way to kind of store all my photos of him and keep a running timeline of his life.”

“It truly started as something meant for just me and maybe some of my friends to see his growth and keep the memories of every stage and event with Wiley. When the account first started growing, I remember thinking, ‘Wow, what if he hits 5,000 followers!’ I never in a million years could have imagined it would be what it is now. And it’s STILL GROWING. I am constantly amazed, shocked, but mostly so grateful. It has been a fun little adventure, that’s for sure.”

Wiley is such a pretty sight, and his mom is very lucky to have him.

Such a pretty dog really does deserve all the admiration he is getting.

And we are really lucky to discover a dog like him. He is unique and rare, he has a beautiful personality, and we really hope we get to see more and more of him as he grows up and join him in his little adventures in life.

That is such a boop-able nose.

This is Wiley’s playful and crazy side!

What a majestic creature.
