The outstanding friendship between a infant lion and a chimp wins the internet

Animal Kingdom has a history of unusual friendships, but this one might be the oddest (and maybe the sweetest). A lion cub and a chimpanzee are the best of friends, and their remarkable friendship wins everyone’s heart.

The two unusual buddies met at the Zoological Wildlife Foundation in Miami, Florida, where they were both born, and have been in love ever since.

Even though Limbani the chimp is almost three years old and his best friend Binta is only six months old, they still play and wrestle together whenever they have the chance.

A recent video of the two rolling around on the grass struck a chord with viewers. Like two small children, they are caressing and pushing each other.

It’s difficult not to fall in love with them after seeing them spend time together.

“Our objective is to educate the public about the dangers these creatures face in the wild and what can be done to help protect them,” said Matthew Dillon, the Zoological Wildlife Foundation’s Communications Director.

“Binta has known Limbani since infancy, and they’ve obviously developed a play style that works for both of them.”

Despite the fact that Binta’s fangs are already rather keen, despite his young age, and may harm Limbani, Dillon believes that playing is really helping the lion cub establish a social life.

Limbani, on the other hand, is known as a very pleasant spirit as well as a highly intelligent monkey. Painting and answering the phone are two of his pastimes, both of which appear to be difficult even for a chimpanzee.
